CBT Supervision and Skills Practice for Trainees and Therapists.
I offer specialised Online CBT Supervision to CBT trainees and Therapists. I have worked as a CBT Supervisor and Trainer for the last 5 years at two prestigious Universities in London (King’s College London and University College London), so I am very familiar with the need for expert CBT supervision which is necessary for BABCP accreditation- but often lacking in clinical practice. Supervision aims to address the development and mastering of specific CBT skills and techniques and is tailor-made to individual therapists’ needs.
Recently I have also started offering 1:1 CB therapy sessions to trainees and therapists who wish to experience CBT on a more personal level. All too often, trainees graduate as ‘CBT machines’, with very little experience of what CBT feels like in practice. My Supervisory practice has always included a ‘Self-Practice, Self-Reflection (SP-SR)’ element and as a result I have started offering time-limited SP-SR sessions, either on their own or as an addition to existing supervision arrangements. The feedback has been heartening and in my opinion therapists are much more competent to deliver CBT to clients. For more information, get in touch!
